Cops seek ‘person of interest’ in murder of Angel Casanova

CHRISTIANSTED — Police said they are seeking a “person of interest” in the shooting death of 33-year-old Angel Casanova near the Christiansted Cemetery in St. Croix on Tuesday.

Elvis Villar Jr., 26, of Orange Grove, has been identified as a suspect in the murder investigation into Casanova’s death in Peter’s Farm earlier this week, the Virgin Islands Police Department said.Island tourism

The murder victim, Casanova, was living in Estate Friedensthal on St. Croix before his untimely death.

According to the VIPD, Elvis Villar Jr., a native of St. Croix, was born on March 24, 1998.
