Former VI Calypso Monarch 'King Henry' passes

SAN FERNANDO, Trinidad & Tobago- Former Calypso Monarch Ruben Henry, affectionately known as King Henry, who was well known in the Virgin Islands, especially Virgin Gorda, has passed.

.This esteemed veteran calypsonian passed away on the night of Sunday, July 20, 2025, at the San Fernando General Hospital in Trinidad and Tobago.

Having immersed himself in the rich cultural tapestry of the Virgin Islands for over 30 years, King Henry was more than just a musician; he was a vibrant force of creativity and celebration.

His captivating performances during carnivals in Trinidad were a highlight for many, with his iconic calypsos echoing throughout the islands.
