Record 13 restaurants set to participate in annual Anegada Lobster Fest

TORTOLA— The countdown has begun for the annual Anegada Lobster Fest. British Virgin Islands Tourist Board officials are preparing for the popular event, which this year will have a record-setting 13 restaurants participating.

The two-day fest, from Nov. 30-Dec. 1, under the theme “Lobster, Sun and Anegada Fun,” is known as the grandest crustacean feast in the region, drawing hundreds of locals and visitors who make the rounds of the island’s finest eateries, watering holes and attractions. All come with one thing in mind — sampling various menus with lobster as the main ingredient.

“We are excited about the high level of participation by the businesses on the island for this year’s Anegada Lobster Festival. We will continue to work with industry partners and government and statutory agency partners to make the experience more seamless from arrival, throughout the festival experience, right through to departure,” BVI Tourist Board Director Clive McCoy said in a released statement. “Stay tuned to our social media pages for updates including when we will be releasing our “flapbook,” which provides patrons with a guide to all things Lobster Festival, including a map, accommodations, marine and land transportation, attractions, restaurant menus, and reminders for a safe celebration.”
