Rita Marley to be honored in Immersive exhibit

In celebration of her 78th birthday Rita Marley will be honored in a series of immersive experiences across the United States.

City Winery New York is set to host The Garden That Rita Grew: My Grandma Rita, an art exhibit and An Evening with Sharon Marley on August 7. These events will mark the beginning of a two-month-long tribute to Rita Marley, featuring curated programming which showcases her immense contributions to music, art, and culture.

Concert and Conversation: Reggae royalty and 3x Grammy winner Sharon Marley will pay a tribute to her father and mother Bob Marley and Rita, with an unplugged live performance of their legendary classics including “Is This Love,” “Get Up, Stand Up,” and “One Draw.” Followed by an intimate conversation with award winning Jamaican comedian and social media influencer Julie Mango about Ms. Marley’s father and mother and the unique nature of growing up within the Marley household.
