Rogers, Smith family lead way in V.I. National Championships

St. Thomas’ Joelcita Rogers pulled off a “dash triple” Saturday, while the Smith siblings teamed up to set a U.S. Virgin Islands record during Saturday’s Virgin Islands National Track and Field Championships on St. Croix.

Joeltica Rogers, far left, of St. Thomas’ Champion Track Club, leads Aminah Prasad, of the St. Croix Track Club, to the finish line in the women’s 100-meter dash final at the Virgin Islands Track and Field Federation’s 2025 V.I. National Championships, held Saturday at the St. Croix Educational Complex stadium. Rogers swept the dash races at the V.I. Nationals, winning the 100-, 200- and 400-meter events.
