RVIPF office remains closed to facilitate clean-up

Although government facilities were anticipated to open today as normal, the Royal Virgin Islands Police Force (RVIPF) has announced their office will remain closed to facilitate cleanup following TS Ernesto.

Governor Daniel Pruce provided the all-clear to the territory on August 14, indicating it was safe for individuals to move about and that government offices would presume as normal the following day, August 15.

The RVIPF, however, announced they will not be reopening its Administration Unit since they will be cleaning their offices after TS Ernesto. They stated they expect to resume normal operations instead on August 16.

The Virgin Gorda and the Anegada airports have also reopened today, August 15, whilst the Terrance B Lettsome Airport reopened late afternoon, August 14, shortly after the all-clear directive.
