V.I. swimmers to compete in World Championships

Two swimmers from the U.S. Virgin Islands are set to compete in the 2024 World Aquatics Swimming Championships, which begin Sunday in Doha, Qatar.

St. Croix’s Kaeden Gleason and Riley Miller will compete in two events each at the World Aquatics Championships, which run through Feb. 18.

The 16-year-old Gleason will open competition on Sunday in the men’s 400-meter freestyle heats. He is also entered in the men’s 200-meter freestyle, which holds its heat races on Monday, Feb. 12.

The men’s 400-meter freestyle finals will be held the evening of Feb. 11, while the semifinals for the men’s 200-meter freestyle are the evening of Feb. 12. The finals are set for Tuesday, Feb. 13.
