V.I. Taxicab Commission Announces Dates for 2024 Veteran Medallion Auction

Exclusive bidding opportunities for U.S. Virgin Islands veterans will take place on December 11, 12, and 13, with medallions available for St. Thomas, St. Croix, and St. John. Applications are open now at Taxicab Commission offices.

The V.I. Taxicab Commission has announced the schedule for its 2024 Veteran Medallion Auction, set to take place on December 11, 12, and 13, 2024. This annual event, conducted pursuant to Title 20, Section 407(c) of the Virgin Islands Code, is open exclusively to U.S. Virgin Islands veterans of the armed services.

Applications are now available at the Taxicab Commission’s offices during regular business hours (Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.). To qualify, applicants must have their eligibility verified by the Office of Veterans Affairs for the respective island where they plan to submit their bid. Completed bid forms must be deposited in the designated bid box no later than 10:00 a.m. on the day of the auction, and bidders are required to be present at the auction.
