VIRGIN ISLANDERS HONORED IN KEY TO THE VIRGIN ISLANDS CEREMONY

Members of the 34th Legislature, led by Senate Vice President Novelle E. Francis Jr. hosted the Key to the Virgin Islands Ceremony at the Earle B. Ottley Legislative Chambers.

Today’s honorees included Lorna Lenise Freeman-Woodley, Randolph “Junior” Donovan, Kashief “DJ General Kuntry” Hamilton, and Ronaqua Russell.

Senate Vice President Novelle E. Francis added that this was a great day in the Virgin Islands, stating that we don’t just honor people because they are honorable, we honor people because we are honorable. He mentioned that it was important to give people their flowers while they were still here.

The following resolutions were honored.

Resolution No. 1844 – A Resolution honoring and commending Ms. Lorna Lenise Freeman-Woodley for her outstanding charitable performances for the community and her many contributions to the people of the Virgin Islands and for being a true ambassadress of the Virgin Islands.

Resolution No. 1868 – A Resolution honoring and commending Mr. Randolph “Junior” Donovan and Mr. Kashief “DJ General Kuntry” Hamilton for their heroism in saving the life of a cruise passenger at the West Indian Company Dock.
