11th Grader Danny Philip Wins 2nd Place in Vermont Pitch Challenge

Exciting news for 11th Grader Danny Phillip Jr. who won second place in the Vermont Pitch Challenge from the University of Vermont. Phillip, who attends the Seventh Day Adventist School on St. Croix, has aspirations of becoming a successful businessperson in technology and computer science.

What’s even more impressive is he competed against nearly 150 teams from seven countries and 27 states.

According to a press release from the University of Vermont over 220 ambitious students took part, each eager to make a positive impact and tackle pressing challenges within their respective communities.
Phillip said that for the sales pitch challenge, competitors were supposed to send in a business plan, and they were chosen out of five finalists to travel to Vermont and deliver the pitch in person.
