2 brazen bank robbers face charges in Puerto Rico

SAN JUAN — Special Agent in Charge Joseph González, of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) San Juan Field Office, announced the arrests of Orlando Tirado-Santiago (Tirado-Santiago) and Alex Manzano-Colón (Manzano-Colón).

Tirado-Santiago and Manzano-Colón were each charged in a complaint with violations of Title 18, United States Code, Sections 2 and 2113 (Bank Robbery) and section 924(c)(1)(A) (Brandishing and discharge of firearm during and in relation to a crime of violence) for events which took place at a bank in Loíza Street, San Juan, Puerto Rico on July 10, 2024.

The suspects were initially detained by San Juan Municipal Police Officers on that same date and arrested by Special Agents of the FBI San Juan Violent Crimes Squad on July 11, 2024.

This case is being investigated by the FBI San Juan Field Office and is being prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney for the District of Puerto Rico, Corinne Cordero, from the Violent Crimes Section. The FBI would like to thank the San Juan Municipal Police for their continued support to the FBI mission, and valiant work on this case.
