Bad Bunny's residency will generate an economic impact of $100 million in Puerto Rico

SAN JUAN – Bad Bunny's residency at the Coliseo de Puerto Rico, titled "No Me Quiero Ir de Aquí," will generate an estimated economic impact of $100 million on the island, Discover Puerto Rico Vice President Tomás Ramírez revealed Tuesday.

"We estimate that the impact will be more than $100 million injected into our economy and that hundreds of temporary jobs will be created before, during and after the concerts," Ramírez said in a radio interview with Radio Isla 1320.  "This project is unique and nothing like it has ever been done in Puerto Rico. We see it with a lot of optimism because it shows our capabilities," he added.

Bad Bunny, whose given name is Benito Antonio Martínez Ocasio, established agreements with 18 hotels in different municipalities, including San Juan, Bayamón, Luquillo, Caguas and Ponce, to offer exclusive experiences to international fans who will attend the concerts scheduled in August.  "The mere fact of hiring 30,000 nights of lodging in these 18 lodgings will have a significant impact on the various industries that make up our tourism offer, such as restaurants, car rentals, carriers, transportation networks such as Uber, gift shops, shopping centers and tour operators," Ramírez explained.
