Bryan cruises while residents left to fend alone with WAPA crisis

Where is Governor Bryan?

While we all believe in multitasking when it comes to the good of the Virgin Islands, the optics of Gov. Albert Bryan Jr. going on a cruise right now for the purpose of increased tourism, at the same time our headlines scream of power failures that have no end in sight, are not good.

If we put aside the fact that the governor will be on a cruise that will have plenty of electricity and services, the oxymoron of trying to entice people into our community when we are in a state of emergency and the power grid is so tenuous, doesn’t make sense. Visitors will simply take away a bad impression of the Virgin Islands. A very bad impression.
