Daniel Jones Injury Update: Giants QB Ready for Week 1?

Nothing went right for Daniel Jones and the New York Giants in 2023. After perhaps the worst six-game stretch of the quarterback's career, a torn ACL ended his season and put the start of 2024 in doubt.

On Thursday, that uncertainty was all but wiped away. “No, I don’t have any doubt about it right now,” Jones said. Getting healthy was the first step in him reclaiming the starting job, which was passed between him, Tyrod Taylor, and Tommy DeVito last year. This offseason, the team signed veteran quarterback Drew Lock to fill Taylor’s spot on the second string.

The next step for Jones is continuing to distance himself from Lock who – while on a backup-level deal – could press him for the starting role.
