Cricket fever is sweeping through the City of Lauderhill as it prepares to host the highly anticipated ICC Men’s T20 Cricket World Cup in June.

With the countdown underway, the local cricketing community is set to kick off the festivities this Saturday, May 18th, at the Lauderhill Sports Park, starting at 6 PM, with the electrifying 20th Annual Night Cricket Finals.

Renowned as the “Cricket Capital of the United States,” Lauderhill’s reputation stems from its groundbreaking achievement in 2007, with the inauguration of North America’s first certified International Cricket Stadium at Central Broward Park. Since then, the Broward County Stadium has proudly hosted numerous international matches, welcoming cricketing giants such as the West Indies, India, Sri Lanka, New Zealand, and the USA. Now, marking a historic milestone, the ICC Men’s T20 Cricket World Cup will make its debut on American soil, with matches scheduled on June 11th, 14th, 15th, and 16th at the Broward County Stadium in Lauderhill.
