Jocelyn Nungaray's Pants Were Removed Before She Was Dumped in Creek After 'Horrific Crime,' Says D.A.

Franklin Jose Pena Ramos, 26, and Johan Jose Rangel Martinez, 22, face capital murder charges in connection with the death of 12-year-old Jocelyn Nungaray

The two suspects accused of killing a 12-year-old Texas girl whose body was found on June 17 in a shallow creek allegedly removed her pants before killing her near a bridge, according to court documents obtained by multiple news outlets.

Franklin Jose Pena Ramos, 26, and Johan Jose Rangel Martinez, 22, are being held in Harris County Jail on charges of capital murder in connection with the death of Jocelyn Nungaray, PEOPLE previously reported.

Ramos’ bond was set at $10 million during a court appearance on June 24 while Martinez is scheduled to appear in court later this week, according to KHOU. It’s unclear if they have entered pleas or retained attorneys to speak on their behalf.
