Labor Management Committee Faces Scrutiny Over Compliance Issues and Federal Funding Lapse in Budget Hearing

Senate Committee Questions LMC’s $200,000 Budget Amid Concerns Over Employee Benefits and Compliance

Senators were surprised to learn that the LMC’s two employees are not members of the Government Employees' Retirement System. They also do not have employer-provided health insurance. LMC Executive Director Yirah Tutein says this is because the agency enjoys non-profit status.
