SpaceX engineer ‘murders’ yoga teacher wife and leaves her nude body in driveway of his parents’ home

An ex-SpaceX engineer and his French bride seemed to have the perfect life, sailing around the world in Instagram-worthy luxury.

But not long after they returned home to Maine, Margaux Whittemore, 32, was lying dead and naked on her mother-in-law’s driveway.

Samuel Whittemore, 34, went on the run, but he did not get far before a state trooper collared him, and is now behind bars charged with murder.

Whitmore is accused of not only killing his yoga instructor wife, but almost his own mother Dorothy Whittemore, 67, who was found injured inside.

The full extent of what transpired at the house on Giles Road in Readfield before police arrived on Wednesday to respond to the 10.02 a.m. 911 call is still a mystery.

As is what shattered the fairytale love story the couple appeared to be living on his 50ft yacht, the Havili, before they moved to nearby Belfast, Maine, in January.
