Ducson Antoine, 35, was arrested and charged with unauthorized use of a vehicle, third-degree robbery-domestic violence, simple assault-domestic violence and disturbance of the peace-domestic violence, the Virgin Islands Police Department said. No bail was offered to Antoine due to the territory’s domestic violence statutes.
The case began about 4:58 p.m. on August 21, when the Domestic Violence Unit was notified that a female victim was present at Richard Callwood Command Police Station reporting that she had been assaulted, according to the VIPD. “The female stated that a former acquaintance, Ducson Antoine came to her place of employment and assaulted her,” VIPD spokeswoman Kishma Chichester said.
