UPDATE: VI top of points table after draw with TCI in CFU U14 Football Series - VI footballers play Anguilla @ 2:00pm today, August 15, 2022

SANTO DOMINGO, Dominican Republic- Despite a goalless draw with Turks and Caicos Islands (TCI) on Sunday, August 14, 2022, the Virgin Islands (VI) are sitting top of the points table after two games in Tier II Group 3 of the Caribbean Football Union (CFU) Under 14 Challenge Series being played in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic.

The VI defeated US Virgin Islands (USVI) 2-1 in their opening group game on Saturday, August 13, 2022, and were hoping to keep their winning ways against a team that lost their opening game against Anguilla; however, it was not to be.

They were instead held to a 0-0 draw by TCI yesterday.

VI lead Group 3

The one point from the draw; however, takes the VI to the top of the points table with 4 points. Anguilla and St Maarten are joint second with 3 points from 1 game, while TCI are fourth with 1 point and USVI at the bottom with no points from 2 games.

The USVI lost to St Maarten yesterday, their second straight defeat.

Meanwhile, the VI will be in action from2:00pm today, August 15, 2022, against Anguilla at the Santa Fe Stadium.
