USVI/BVI Friendship Day comes together on St. Croix

ST. CROIX — Territory Rotarians convened on Saturday in Altona Lagoon Park for the annual USVI/BVI Friendship Day luncheon, and although representatives from the British Virgin Islands were unable to attend, St. Croix’s four clubs and representatives from St. Thomas came together for a beach clean-up followed by a day of group activities.

Sandra Gerard-Leung, president of the Rotary Club of St. Croix Harborside, said the gathering has been happening for about 20 years.

“It’s for all of us to get together and have fellowship, and just meet each other,” she said. The day gives Rotarians an opportunity to come together and talk about what members are doing individually, as a club, or as a community.
