Arizona Fugitive Arrested in St. Thomas on Fraud, Theft, and Forgery Charges

Amin Latif Samir Larry was apprehended at the St. Thomas airport while attempting to fly to Puerto Rico

ST. THOMAS — A man wanted in Arizona for fraud, theft and forgery was arrested in St. Thomas at the beginning of this week.‌

On Monday afternoon, Customs and Border Protection officials alerted police that they had come across a potential fugitive from justice. While his documents were being processed, Amin Latif Samir Larry was flagged as having a warrant out for his arrest from the state of Arizona.

Once it was confirmed with the Yavapai County’s Sheriff's Office that the warrant was still active and that they would be willing to extradite Mr. Larry, he was arrested, charged with being a fugitive from justice, and remanded into custody. He had been scheduled to fly from St. Thomas to San Juan Puerto Rico on that day’s Frontier Airlines flight 4893
