The British Virgin Islands made history by hosting the 42nd edition of the Haynes Smith Miss Caribbean Talented Teen Pageant on Sunday, December 29, marking the first time the event was held outside of St Kitts.
The pageant featured 13 contestants from across the region and concluded with the territory’s own contestant, Asha Hyndman, securing the first runner-up position. Fifteen-year-old Kaitlynn Wilson from St Kitts and Nevis claimed the crown, earning her country its second consecutive win in the prestigious competition. Wilson, who was also crowned Miss Teen St. Kitts and Nevis in 2023, dazzled the judges and audience alike with her acrobatic talent, which earned her the title of Best Talent.
“I’m thrilled to keep the crown at home,” she stated, expressing her excitement over the win. Nineteen-year-old Hyndman represented the BVI with grace, securing the first runner-up spot. Though she had hoped to win Best Talent, Hyndman acknowledged that technical difficulties may have impacted her performance. Despite this, she expressed pride in her overall showing and gratitude for the support she received.
