BVIOC congratulates VI Archery Team for 12-medal haul in Jamaica - VI archers won 3 gold, 4 silver & 5 bronze medals

ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI- The BVI Olympic Committee (BVIOC) has applauded the accomplishments of the Virgin Islands Archery Team, which recently returned with 12 medals from the WAAm Caribbean Development Championship 2024 held September 18 -22, 2024, in Kingston, Jamaica.

The medal haul included 3 gold, 4 silver, and 5 bronze medals.

“Congratulations to all. The BVIOC is proud to have supported the attendance of the team,” the BVIOC stated in a social media post on September 27, 2024.

Medal winners

National Archery in the Schools (NASP) Champion Kellyann Tillack of Ciboney School of Excellence won gold in the Recurve Beginner Under 15/18 Individual category, silver in the Women’s Doubles, and bronze in the Mixed Team event. Tillack also won the gold in the Caribbean Developmental League.

2023 Regional Junior Ambassador of Tourism Naomi A. Onwufuju won gold in the Compound Developmental Under 18/Senior Women Combined category, with Javlyn Frett winning silver and Keyara Smith winning bronze.
