Cyril E. King Airport Announces Temporary Relocation of Passenger Pick-Up Area

The V.I. Port Authority has announced a temporary change to the passenger pick-up area at the Cyril E. King Airport (CEKA) on St. Thomas.

Starting Tuesday, February 27 passengers will be directed to a new pick-up location situated at the front section (sidewalk) of the newly constructed Parking and Transportation Center.

To facilitate easy and safe access between the terminal and the temporary pick-up area, VIPA said it will provide a crosswalk and ADA-accessible ramps. During peak hours, VIPA police will assist with traffic control and help pedestrians safely cross to the pick-up area.

This adjustment is necessitated by the demolition of the current pick-up area near the terminal baggage claim to make way for the construction of two exit lanes. This development aims to enhance the flow of vehicular traffic at the airport.
