Lady Panthers, Lady Warriors, and Hurricanes Crowned Champions

Antilles School on St. Thomas held the first Interscholastic Athletic Association (IAA) volleyball tournament of the 2024 volleyball season in the territory over the weekend, welcoming 14 teams from St. Thomas, St. John, and St. Croix to the MCM Center.

The Antilles Junior Varsity and Junior Varsity B Volleyball Tournament featured three divisions. In the Junior Varsity Girls division, the Virgin Islands Montessori School and Peter Gruber International Academy (VIMSPGIA) defeated Antilles School in the semi-finals (26-24; 25-11). The Lady Volts then faced undefeated the Good Hope Country Day (GHCD) Panthers out of St. Croix in the division championship match. The Lady Panthers won that title match in straight sets (25-19; 25-6). Aryanna Tutein of GHCD was named the MVP. Lindsey Allen of VIMSPGIA won the Charlie Davis Sportsmanship Award. Charlotte Amalie High School was the fourth team entered in this division.
