Rotary Club gala to honor two for significant contributions to community

The Rotary Club of Charlotte Amalie will host its popular Paul Harris Gala later this month, honoring two of their own for significant contributions to the Rotary Foundation and commitment to its principle of “Service Above Self.”

According a released statement, the Paul Harris Fellow recognition is awarded to individuals who have made remarkable contributions to the Rotary Foundation’s efforts to advance world peace, health, education, and community development.  The gala is set for 6:30 to 10 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 22, at Coral World Ocean Park, and is the first to be held since 2019.

“This event is less of a fundraiser and more about community building and celebrating our work as community leaders. We’re often in the hustle and bustle that we don’t take the time to appreciate how far we’ve come and the great work we’ve done, even if our efforts feel small,” Tricia Homer, Gala Committee chair, said. “Our donors, award recipients, and guests will have the chance to get to know each other better, which really helps keep our work moving forward.”
