Former Quitos hotel rebrands under Vanterpool

The iconic Quito’s Luxury Inn and Quito’s Gazebo Restaurant & Bar in Cane Garden Bay, Tortola, have officially rebranded under new ownership.

Now part of the MHV Resorts & Hotels group, the legendary hotel and restaurant will operate under the new name, The Cane Garden Bay Beach Hotel. The transition took effect on 1 October 2024, following months of negotiations, with Virgin Islands businessman Mark Vanterpool taking the helm. Vanterpool’s MHV group has been a significant player in the British Virgin Islands’ business landscape for nearly four decades. Known for its involvement in supermarkets, food service, and restaurants, MHV has now expanded into hospitality, aiming to enhance the quality of service in the BVI’s tourism industry.

“MHV Resorts and Hotels is excited to join the vibrant Cane Garden Bay community that has long been an iconic hub for tourism and culture in the BVI,” Vanterpool stated. The rebranding of the former Quito’s Hotel marks a new chapter for the beloved Cane Garden Bay spot, which has been a central attraction for tourists and locals alike. Vanterpool and his team plan to maintain the charm that has made the area famous while expanding its offerings.
