J’Adon George and Chanecia Pinnock Crowned Mr and Miss Junior BVI

On July 29, J’Adon George and Chanecia Pinnock were crowned Mister and Miss Junior BVI at the H. Lavity Stoutt Community College, marking the conclusion of the 70th Emancipation Festival’s final pageant.

J’Adon George, one of two contestants for the Mister Junior BVI title, swept most categories, winning Photogenic, Poise, Best Swimwear, Best Talent, Best Evening Wear, and Best Intellect, thereby claiming the crown. Chanecia Pinnock excelled in the categories of Black and White Wear, Best Talent, and Best Evening Wear to secure her title as Miss Junior BVI.

The pageant featured five contestants—two young men and three young women. Although the first runner-up was not announced, T’ya Peters won second place in multiple categories: Photogenic, Poise, and Best Swimwear. Kaijaanique Hendrickson won Best Intellect for Miss Junior BVI.

The event attracted a full crowd of supporters for each contestant and was hosted by former Mister Junior BVI, Eusa Adams, alongside Adrianna Soverall. Miss Junior BVI 2023, Ariella Oliver, crowned the new Mister and Miss Junior BVI. Major sponsors for the event included the BVI Tourist Board and the Government of the Virgin Islands.
